✦ Synopsis
A new wire-junction node for modeling a junction with two wires of different radius using the TLM method is presented. The scattering matrix of the node is pro¨ided, and the numerical results are compared with the moment method solutions traditionally used for modeling wires and wirelike structures.

## Abstract In this paper, we present the results of measuring the near‐field and radiation patterns of a novel leaky‐wave antenna. Although the first higher order mode in the antenna can be successfully excited in a wide frequency band, the leaky‐wave radiation is limited to a relatively narrow fr
cess offset makes it possible to improve the breakdown voltage to the disadvantage of the drain᎐source current and microwave capabilities. Hence, a compromise must be found.
