Thermal insulation measures for structural components made of waterproof concrete

This article discusses a range of problems relating to perimeter insulation and thermal insulation of components made of waterproof concrete in contact with the ground subjected to hydraulic pressure. Problems relating to moisture transfer in waterproof concrete components will be treated in one of the next issues of this journal.

Revised regulations on classification and the wide range of thermal insulation products with different behaviour require a deeper understanding of the issues involved.
