Magnetic Intensity of Iron.--According to Rimnan's investigations the magnetic intensity of iron appears to increase with the increase of carbon. In three st)eeimens of cast iron containing "09, "30 and "57 per cent. of carbon the inagnetic intensity was 5"5, 9"5 mid 1 1, respectively.---Berg-und Hi'ttten-Zeitung.
