✦ Synopsis
Techniques for the determination of work functions by X-PE spectroscopy (ESCA) arc described. Preliminsry resuits for sti metals am reported. The results obtained suggest alternative methods for the calibration of both the kinetic energy of the spectrometer and X-PE spectra.
