✦ Synopsis

This paper presents wind energy development in China by the description of wind energy resources, development experiences, future development planning, barriers of large scale dissemination and the international cooperation in the further development. Background Wind power development has become one of the very important part of renewable energy development in Gina. By the end of 1995, about 300 MW of wind farms has been installed in the country which located in about 10 large scale of wind farms. And the government of China bas lunched a national wind energy development pkuming, which has indicated that by the end of 2000, about 1000 MW of wind energy will service the power supply to the demands of developed economy in China. This paper will presents resources assessment and development status of wind energy in China.
