✦ Synopsis

A patient with a malignant retroperitoneal teratoma that contained Wilms' tumor and renal cell carcinoma is described. The rarity of renal tissue in teratoma, and the possible mode of development of Wilms' tumor and renal cell carcinoma in such a tumor are discussed.

In the present study the prognostic value of tumor S-phase fraction was evaluated in 69 patients with renal-cell carcinoma. ## BACKGROUND. Nephron-sparing surgery for incidentally detected small renal tumors has been performed. The main objection to such surgery concerns the incidence rate of satellite renal tumors. In this study, the authors analyzed the rate of incidence and proliferative potential of satellite renal
