This book is about a woman dealing with facial injuries and processing how that changes her self-esteem. There are some scenes where she is filled with self-loathing and says things about her appearance that might be triggering to some people. Ultimately though, it's a story about Fiona learning to love herself as much as it is about her rediscovering her happy ever after with Matty.
