✦ Synopsis
A wideband wa¨e absorber at X frequency band using a two-layered transparent resisti¨e film is proposed. The design of the present wa¨e absorber is carried out by using the transmission-line model in our study. The optimum ¨alues of design parameters such as surface resistance of the resisti¨e film and thickness of the spacer are determined by the Newton method. The fabrication process of our absorber is also described briefly here. As a result, we ha¨e confirmed that the transparent wa¨e absorber has two peaks of about 30 dB absorption, and an absorption of 17 dB or more at the frequency range between 8. 3 and 11.6 GHz in our expectation.
