## Abstract An ultra wideband bandpass filter with sharp‐rejection is proposed by using a new structure of double ring resonators. The double ring resonator generates a couple of attenuation poles, and its operation mechanism is made clear through the even‐ and odd‐mode analysis of the circuit. The

Abstract
A simple design for a wideband bandpass filter is presented.A compact filter structure is achieved by placing a microstrip ring between two parallel coupling gaps. 3D electromagnetic simulation and measurement of the proposed filter validate its wideband characteristics. The proposed filter exhibits good insertion loss <1.2 dB and group delay variation <0.2 ns. Both simulated and measured results show good agreement. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this article, we present a novel compact dual wideband bandpass filter (BPF) by using a new structure of ladder stub resonator (LSR). The proposed LSR can produce attenuation poles to form low loss and dual‐wideband bandpass response. By tuning the structure parameters of LSR, the du
