## Abstract A novel design of fourβelement gapβcoupled slot rectangular microstrip array antenna fed by aperture coupling is presented for wideband operation. From the experimental results it is seen that a β10 dB return loss impedance bandwidth of 34.17% is achieved at Xβband frequencies. This imp

Abstract
The effect of slot on patch and on ground plane of rectangular microstrip antenna for effective size reduction, wide bandwidth, and high gain has been presented. A 60.57% of virtual size reduction is achieved by taking ground plane same as that of patch on another similar substrate and by keeping 1βmm air gap between them. Furthermore, 51% of bandwidth and 8.73 dB of gain are achieved by embedding group of slots on the patch, wide slot on the ground plane and by doubling the thickness of substrate. vestigated numerically and experimentally. We have verified experimentally that as far as the impedance bandwidth of a /2 patch antenna is concerned, it is better to use a magneto-dielectric substrate as introduced here rather than a dielectric substrate. The measurements indicate that the antenna e

## Abstract A novel microstrip slot antenna backed by a ground plane of large bandwidth and high gain is presented. A fanβshaped termination of a microstrip feeder with a straight stub is used to excite a rectangular slot and a circular patch to realize the broadband characteristic. Its measured vo
## Abstract This article presents the comparative study of impedance bandwidth of rectangular microstrip antenna comprising different shaped slots on the patch. It is found that the rectangular slot on the center of patch is effective for the enhancement of impedance bandwidth in comparison with el
