Professor Brian Cox and Professor Jeff Forshaw go on a journey to the frontier of 21st century science to consider the real meaning behind the iconic sequence of symbols that make up Einstein's most famous equation, E=mc2. Breaking down the symbols themselves, they pose a series of questions: What i

β¦ Synopsis
This book is very clearly written--for the most part. When it gets to the core of the book (as defined by its title), it falters. The logic is unclear and the formula for kinetic energy is introduced and the reader is supposed to take it on faith that since kinetic engergy E = 1/2 mv2 (squared), for mass, E = mc2 (squared). Sorry, I don't buy it.
Apart from that, the text is lucid (hence the 4 stars).
