## Abstract ## Objectives Catechol‐__O__‐methyltransferase (COMT) may be a risk modifying gene for Nicotine dependence (ND) rather than a direct susceptibility gene for this phenotype. Brain nicotinic cholinergic receptors modulate dopaminergic transmission, and several variants within the neighbo
