โœฆ Synopsis

computer interaction and the type of operators needed for interactive graphics systems.

Joel Greenstein from Virginia Polytechnic Institute provided a review paper. From his studies he was able to identify which tasks can be better done by computer and which by a human operator. As would be expected, systems must be designed according to their subsequent use. Where the operator monitors realtime progress, the tasks are undertaken at a pace forced by the computer. In the case of a system created for design, the analyst drives the system at his own pace. Mr Greenstein noted that the human role changes when using graphics systems
