✦ Synopsis
There was much to intrigue and inspire psychiatrists at this years TheMHS Conference held in Melbourne in September. Larry Davidson, a keynote speaker, spoke about the dream of many people with mental illness, simply to be let in. Davidson's model emphasised the restoration of social agency and mutuality in relationships as cornerstones of the recovery process. This inspirational talk underpinned the aims of the conference where all people involved in mental health services, whether provider or consumer, are able to meet and work together as a community.
