## Abstract Blubber, the lipid‐rich hypodermis of cetaceans, functions in thermoregulation, buoyancy control, streamlining, metabolic energy storage, and locomotion. This study investigated the development of this specialized hypodermis in bottlenose dolphins (__Tursiops truncatus__) across an onto
