After enduring seventeen years of cruelty at the hands of his drug-addicted parents, Jedidiah longs to give and receive love-the kind of love he isn't sure exists.
The deaths of his parents leave him abandoned and scared. His neighbors give him a home, the tender care he craves, and take him to church. Their minister brings a Bible. The all-important book fills him with anger, and he can't bring himself to believe in or worship the God who allowed him to suffer.
When Jedidiah meets the beautiful, faith-filled Maggie, his scarred heart tells him she is his chance to have what he desires most. But to have the love and life he dreams of, Jedidiah must find a way to forgive God and take a leap of faith or let his fear consume and control him for the rest of his life.
