Though Jordan's fans (i.e. anyone who knows what the hell those last two sentences mean may moan that this latest installment lacks action, "The Last Battle" wouldn't be much of an Armageddon if the stage weren't properly set. Granted, the preparations have been going on for some 9, 000 pages over ten books, but when things do heat up in this series, it's always worth the wait.
