✦ Synopsis

The whole world, or so it seems, is aware of the Year 2000 computer problem. The blizzard of information falls all around us, telling us about the problem, the IT industry's reaction, consultant availability, phoney simple solutions, pressure on governments and the resistance of governments to that pressure, manpower shortages, the continued inaction of the user community, the avoidance action of insurers, Taskforce 2000 and Action 2000. But this blizzard fails to help prudent users and suppliers who are doing something about the problem and need to agree on contract terms. Year 2000 Compliance is the promise which many vendors want to give and many users want to receive.
