✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The move to a networked environment has significantly increased the range of services and resources available to users, especially at institutions of higher education. The need to know the extent of use and usage patterns, coupled with the availability of machine‐generated usage measures has created opportunities for research on many fronts. This panel brings together researchers and practitioners to share information on completed and on‐going projects and to discuss issues related to collecting, analyzing and making use of usage statistics generated from the use of electronic materials such as e‐journals, e‐books, and various other digital information resources.
