Highly disperse germania has been synthesized on the surface of fumed silica by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique. Aqueous suspensions both of unmodified fumed silica and of the obtained germania/silica (GS) samples have been studied by electrophoresis, photon correlation spectroscopy, n
