โฆ Synopsis
This paper describes a low-cost process for welding together stainless steel and copper. The principle is the constitution of a steel-copper-steel sandwich. A classical electrical arc welding technique with inert gas protection is used. The welded joint withstands large thermal cycles and is perfectly gas-tight. Such welds can be used for example in liquid helium cryostats or ultra-high vacuum systems.

## Abstract The aim of this work is the study of the electrochemical behaviour and corrosion resistance of copper alloyed vacuum sintered stainless steel. The presence of copper can improve the passivability of sintered stainless steel and, as a consequence, the corrosion resistance; moreover, vacu
## Abstract The corrosion resistance of spotโwelded and inductionโheated austenitic stainless steels EN 1.4301 and EN 1.4318 was investigated in 3.5% sodium chloride solution at ambient temperature. In potentiostatic measurements pitting corrosion of spotโwelded and inductionโheated samples occurs

## Abstract The formation of martensite in metastable austenitic stainless steels was investigated. The results showed that the formation of martensite in 304 grade stainless steels due to the exposure to cryogenic temperatures is negligible. The amount of formed martensite is dependent on the chem
