✦ Synopsis
Weather-induced instability plays an important role in the agricultural production. The paper examines its impact on value added and on buffer stocks and trade, applied to ward off great yield and price fluctuations. The study is based on two models of integrated linear programming and dynamic input-output analysis. The main conclusion is, that both the absolute values of the optimal results and also their deviation ratios and coefficients of variation reveal all pervasive effects of rainfall.
