✦ Synopsis

We give an affirmative answer to the unitary representation problem on IN-groups and extension of compact group by a nilpotent group. Thus, weak mixing problem also has a positive solution on these groups, that is any ergodic and strictly aperiodic probability measure on these groups is weakly mixing.
