## Abstract We propose and demonstrate a novel, allโ€fiber and wavelength tunable Er^3+^/Yb^3+^ coโ€doped claddingโ€pumped fiberโ€ring laser, which utilized amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) as a secondary source so that it can operate in Lโ€band. The lasing threshold can be reduced to 30% by reflect
