โœฆ Synopsis

A Dirichlet problem for the Klein-Gordon equation in a homogeneous half-space with time dispersion has been considered. It is shown that, under certain boundary conditions, the motion of a wave packet at the initial stage can be different from rectilinear.

The analysis deals with the Love wave propagation problem for an elastic half-space with a superficial layer the material properties of which are random functions. The solution for the dispersion equation and the average displacement are presented in the form of mathematical expressions. The method

This paper presents a time-dependent semi-analytical artificial boundary for numerically simulating elastic wave propagation problems in a two-dimensional homogeneous half space. A polygonal boundary is considered in the half space to truncate the semi-infinite domain, with an appropriate boundary c

## The problem of a transient, transverse electromagnetic wave incident on a non-homogeneous half space is considered. Solutions are obtained by both the Laplace transform technique (LT) and the method of characteristics (MOC). The former method yields an infinite number of exact solutions in closed

An analytical-numerical examination has been made of the behavior of harmonic Rayleigh-type waves in a compressible elastic half-space of constant density and whose shear modulus increases linearly with depth. The dispersion law is presented for values of Poisson's ratio of 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 for wide
