A numerical method for approximating coefficients in an Euler-Bernoulli beam equation from spectral data is proposed. The technique is based on a shooting method and constructs a beam that has the given spectral data. Numerical examples illustrate the performance of the method.
## Abstract We consider a stabilization problem for a model arising in the control of noise. We prove that in the case where the control zone does not satisfy the geometric control condition, B.L.R. (see Bardos __et al. SIAM J. Control Optim.__ 1992; **30**:1024β1065), we have a polynomial stabilit
