✦ Synopsis


We determine the characteristics for the system of conservation equations of a relativistic heat conducting fluid. The phenomenological thermodynamics model is based on the scalar axiom of local equilibrium yielding two equations of state for the pressure P and the temperature T in terms of energy density p and particle density n. The wave front speeds propagating along one spatial direction n' are obtained at the tirst order in (q'n) (q' is the heat flow vector) and are compared to previous results.
