Givrok Ironshoulder is a made-up name, randomly generated by a website. Nevertheless, for a square-jawed former soldier working as a Fixer on a medieval planet, it couldn't be more perfect.

Currently employed by Stillwater, a slightly shadowy company that offers portal-based vacations to Earth's wealthiest adrenaline-junkies, all Givrok really has to do is make sure these rich adventurers keep their mouths shut to the locals about where they're really from. Because if the locals find out that their planet is being used as a playground for drunk, horny aliens brought up on Westworld and Game Of Thrones, it will ignite a war that's very bad for business.

Sounds simple, right?

Wrong.

Because rich people don't like to be told what to do, especially when they're on vacation. And, despite Stillwater's best efforts, the local constabulary are starting to become suspicious. 

When a particularly obnoxious politician drunkenly breaks the rules, Givrok decides to remove him from the game before he ruins it for everyone. But a curious Watchman has other ideas, and wants to take the offender into custody for questioning that will surely result in disaster.

Givrok faces a race against time to get the arrogant politician back through the Stillwater portal before the Watchman can get his hands on him. Because if he doesn't, the future of all portal travel is at stake.

Will Givrok and his partner, Rurhol Heavyfinger (same website), succeed in foiling the Watchman's investigation? Or will they end up languishing in the same cell as their trouble-making reveller?
