Professor Welf Bronger zum 70. Geburtstag gewidmet Inhaltsübersicht. An den Monoammoniakaten von Kalium-und Caesiumamid wurden röntgenographisch die Strukturen bestimmt. Kristalle von KNH 2 • NH 3 erhielt man aus flüssigem NH 3 bei 50 °C Ͼ T Ͼ 20 °C. Sie bilden sich im kalten Teil einer druckfesten Glasapparatur. CsNH 2 • NH 3 wurde in Röntgenkapillaren durch Zonenschmelzen bei Ϫ30 °C einkristallin erhalten. Folgende Daten charakterisieren die Verbindungen kristallchemisch: KNH 2 • NH 3 Cmc2 1 , Z ϭ 4 21 °C aϭ 3,938(1) A ˚, b ϭ 10,983(3) A ˚, c ϭ 5,847(1) A CsNH 2 • NH 3 Pnma, Z ϭ 4 Ϫ30 °C aϭ 7,103(1) A ˚, b ϭ 5,390(1) A ˚, c ϭ 10,106(2) A Hydrogen Bonds in the Monoammoniates of Potassium and Cesium Amide Abstract. X-ray structure determination was carried out on the monoammoniates of potassium and cesium amide. Crystals of KNH 2 • NH 3 were grown from liquid NH 3 at 50 °C Ͼ T Ͼ 20 °C. They crystallize in the cold part of a pressure resistant glass apparatus. Single crystals of CsNH 2 • NH 3 were obtained by zone-melting at Ϫ30 °C in x-ray capillaries. The following data characterize the crystal chemistry of the compounds: KNH 2 • NH 3 Cmc2 1 , Z ϭ 4 21 °C aϭ 3.938(1) A ˚, b ϭ 10.983(3) A ˚, c ϭ 5.847(1) A CsNH 2 • NH 3 Pnma, Z ϭ 4 Ϫ30 °C aϭ 7.103(1) A ˚, b ϭ 5.390(1) A ˚, c ϭ 10.106(2) A For CsNH 2 • NH 3 all hydrogen atom positions were successfully refined.
