✦ Synopsis

The sedimentation velocity of multiparticle suspensions was investigated expetimentally for cases where the column wall is likely to have a nonnegligible effect. The experiments demonstrate that the container wall diameter influences the falling velocity only for dilute systems, which is in contrast with a widely used, established empirical relationship.

## Abstract Recent studies on polyethylene, elastomers, and thermoplastics have revealed that the construction material and surface roughness are two important factors affecting wall slip. In this study, to determine the true rheological behavior of model concentrated suspensions, a multiple‐gap se

The acceleration of saltating grains by overland flow causes momentum to be transferred from the flow to the grains, thereby increasing flow resistance and bed roughness. To assess the impact of saltating sediment on overland flow hydraulics, velocity profiles in transitional and turbulent flows on

The flow behavior of concentrated suspensions consisting of a Newtonian matrix (hydroxyl-terminated-polybutadiene, HTPB) mixed with two different sizes of aluminum powder (30% and above by volume) and two different sizes of glass beads (50% and above by volume) was investigated. The effects of the s
