## Abstract A novel approach to the analysis of ecstasy tablets by direct mass spectrometry coupled with thermal desorption (TD) and counter‐flow introduction atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (CFI‐APCI) is described. Analytes were thermally desorbed with a metal block heater and introduced
