β¦ Synopsis
Vortex structures in nanoscopic superconducting network systems are discussed based on the de Gennes-Alexander theory and the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory. It is pointed out that the vortex patterns are strongly affected by the sample geometry, especially the shape of the boundary, and both the isolated vortices and the vortex stripes are possible near the transition temperature. However, at lower temperatures the vortex stripes tend to become isolated vortices because of the nonlinearity of GL equation.

We have studied vortex expulsion processes in a superconducting disk with a multi-terminal Hall sensor. Various combinations of these terminals enabled us to obtain an angular dependence of magnetization in the disk. The resolution of p/4 allowed us to identify three vortices. With a decrease in mag
Thermodynamically stable vortex-antivortex configurations have been found in mesoscopic type I superconducting equilateral triangles. The revealed effect is explained by two factors: (i) vortex confinement in mesoscopic triangles and (ii) appearance of the vortex-antivortex repulsion in mesoscopic t
In this paper we apply the time dependent Ginzburg-Landau (TDGL) equations to the study of thin superconducting films of variable surfaces in the presence of an external applied magnetic field. We have made a systematic investigation of both the lower and upper critical fields as a function of the t
