The volatile compounds in the headspace of the living orchids Calanthe izu-insularis Ohwi et Satomi (Orchidaceae) and Calanthe sieboldii Decne (Orchidaceae) were examined, after absorption on to Tenax TA, by GC and GCΒ±MS.
