✦ Synopsis
Lund Humphries & Co. Ltd. 1945. 31 pages.
This Vocabulary is an alphabetical list of all the words and expressions occurring in the vocabularies and notes of the Turkish Reader. The Vocabulary provides the student with the possibility of finding easily the explanation of a word met with in the Turkish Reader for the second or third time and then not noted any more. Besides it permits him to find the passage where the word occurs in a context, an advantage not offered by any ordinary dictionary. With its nearly 4000 items the Vocabulary will serve also for other texts than those contained in the Turkish Reader and thus supply a modest substitute for a Turkish-English dictionary, the want of which is so acutely felt.✦ Subjects
