✦ Synopsis

The book is an excellent introduction to the novice. It is clearly written, covering both nMOS and cMOS design. The figures are easy to understand and color plates of MOSIS design rules are a treat. In practice it serves very well for teaching at the technical college and the university undergraduate level. Some minor mistakes may be forgiven. On page 158, fig. .10(a) should give R = 3.4R instead of R= 3.2R, while in fig. .10(c) R= 1/13R must be replaced by R = 1/31R. In fig. .27 on page 303 the lower entry [DH, CL] should read [DH, CH]
