✦ Synopsis
Purified kappa particles stained with methylene blue were placed into fluid containing paramecia. The vitally stained kappa quickly aggregated in food vacuoles of both sensitive and killer animals. A few filamentous projections were observed protruding into the cytoplasm from vacuoles containing kappa. Occasionally food vacuoles packed with stained particles would disrupt and the contents would disperse throughout the cytoplasm. Paramecia with stained kappa in their food vacuoles were disrupted and the vacuolar contents examined. Virtually all of the kappa from the vacuolcs were N particles. Among the thousands of particles observed, only a few B particles were detected.
