โฆ Synopsis
A study was made of the effect of a number of additives on the viscosity of a characteristic tar produced by the flash pyrolysis of indigenous Australian coals. The results indicate that aliphatic compounds are more effective than aromatic compounds in lowering the viscosity. This observation is of significance in the selection of suitable recycle solvents and the dissolution of aged tars.
