This conference, sponsored by the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, will focus on the following aspects of field instrumentation: 1. Instruments and measurement techniques; 2. Data acquisition, processing and interpretation; 3. Use of field measurements as an aid in problem solving. Each topic will be introduced by a main lecture, followed by a general report on the papers submitted to m conference. A special lecture on each topic will be presented by an engineer.
