The theory of vibronic coupling in the porylcnc-type! mo!ecuIst crystals containing four mole&es in 8 unit cell is presented. The vibronic absorption spectra computed theoretically for the perylene crystal are in eood nareement with the ex~ri~ont~l ones in both the frequency and intensity ~stributione of two d_iffere& cry&l polnrizations. _
