An Euler-Bernoulli beam carrying concentrated masses is considered to be a beam-mass system. The beam is simply supported at both ends. The non-linear equations of motion are derived including stretching due to immovable end conditions. The stretching introduces cubic non-linearities into the equati

β¦ Synopsis
This work deals with the dynamic bending response of a two-member prestressed cantilever beam with a concentrated mass. The problem is solved on the basis of the small parameter method. The effect of the prestressing force and the mass upon the value of the natural vibration frequency is studied both experimentally and numerically.

## Abstract We consider the vibrations of an elastic plate that contains a small region whose size depends on a small parameter __Ξ΅__. The density is of order __O__(__Ξ΅^βm^__) in the small region, the __concentrated mass__, and it is of order __O__(1) outside; __m__ is a positive parameter. The __t
The deterministic and random vibration response analysis of a model which simulates a robotic arm has been presented. The model is considered as a uniform, mass-loaded, hysteretically damped beam, the left end of which is attached by both translational and rotational springs and the right end of whi
