✦ Synopsis

By a condensation reaction of (L) with tin tetrachloride two di †erent compounds were (t-Bu) 2 Si(OH) 2 (SnCl 4 ), obtained : a condensation product between two molecules of L and a tin-containing siloxane bicycloheptane ring compound formed by a subsequent reaction between partially hydrolysed and L. The latter was identiÐed by SnCl 4 x-ray di †raction.

The Raman spectra of both isolated compounds were recorded and conÐrmed the structure obtained for the ring compound.
