Adsorbed NH is a stable adsorbed intemxdrate formed during hydrzine decomposition in the 285 to 365 K temperature range on the Nt(111) surface. Adsorbed NH is onented nearly perpendicular to the surface with an NH stretching vibralion a~ 3340 cm-'. NH bend at 1260 cm-'. and Ni-N strerch al 620 cm-'.
The optimized geometries and computed vibrational frequencies for Ε½ . CH O adsorbed at fcc and hcp threefold sites were determined for the Al 111 and 3 Ε½ . Cu 111 surfaces using cluster calculations. The frequencies of the first overtone for the three CH bending modes are found to be very close to
