The infrared spectra of liquid cis-and truns-1,2-diiodocyclopropane were measured from 4000 to 200 Em-'. Raman spectra between 4000 and 50 cm-' of the two compounds as liquids and of the solid cis isomer were also obtained. All of the 21 normal vibrations of the two molecules were convincingly assig
