✦ Synopsis

The Raman spectrum of liquid boron trimethyl at approximately -100°C and the infra-red absorption of the vapour in the range 400 to 3000 cm-l are reported. An zkgnment of fwdamental frequencies is proposed and from a comparison of calculated and observed entropy values it is concluded that the methyl groups rotate freely.
