Kg, has been deduced. In the liquid helium range Kg is of the form A T 2 and is presumably limited by the scattering of the lattice vibrations by the free electrons. The value of A was unchanged for the first few percent of zinc which was added, but it decreased rapidly after further addition of zin

โฆ Synopsis
The fact that the restoring forces on atoms in amorphous solids fluctuate locally from their macroscopically averaged value is shown to result in an enhancement of 5 the low-frequency density of vibrational states, lending to increased T 3 and T specific heat contributions at low temperatures. This effect is distinct from localized tunneling-state contributions, but may be important for interpretations of thermal data in the study of tunneling states.
