✦ Synopsis
The temperature dependence of the linewidth of the Y] mode at 847 cm-' of the MnO: ion doped in KCIOI crystals has been investigated in the range 10-298 K by frequency-resolved resonant CARS. The results are discussed in terms of relaxation processes, through which the MnO; v, mode decays into combinations of internal and external phonons of the matrix. It is found that high-order processes are dominant in accordance with the non-linear behavior of r(T) at higher T. The results are then compared to those obtained for the v, mode of ClO; in pure KClO., and RbC104.
