✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The vibrational spectrum and the specific heats of silver have been studied by DE LAUNAY's model. Frequencies have been calculated for 1000 points of the Brillouin zone and the specific heats evaluated by the sampling technique. The calculated C~v~ are in good agreement with the experimental values. (Ξ˜β€“T) curves obtained from LEIGHTON and BHATIA's models are also given for comparison. It is found that DE LAUNAY's model gives the best fit with the experimental curve.
