โฆ Synopsis
Natural frequencies of a symmetrically laminated composite beam with a mass at the free end are determined. The equations of motion for the laminated beam are derived accounting for the Poisson effect, rotary inertia and transverse shear deformation. Exact solutions are presented to demonstrate the influence of beam geometry, tip mass and material properties on the frequencies of symmetric laminated composite beams.
