β¦ Synopsis
In this study, the free and forced vibrations of postbuckled delaminated beam-plates have been investigated. If a beam=plate is under a postbuckled state, the natural frequencies, mode shapes of the structure will be substantially affected by the changes of the size and location of the delamination and by the magnitude of the axial compression. Based on the revised boundary conditions and governing partial differential equations, the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the postbuckled delaminated beam-plates are calculated by using the separation of variables. Once the natural frequencies and mode shapes are accomplished, the dynamic responses of the postbuckled delaminated beam-plate can be obtained readily.
