โฆ Synopsis
The analytical solutions for the free vibration of the rotating composite cylindrical shells with axial stieners (stringers) and circumferential stieners (rings), that is, orthogonal stieners, are presented using the energy method. The cylindrical shells are stiened with uniform interval and the stieners have the same material and geometric properties. The Love's shell theory based on the discrete stiener theory is used to derive the governing equation of the rotating composite cylindrical shell with orthogonal stieners. The eect of the parameters such as the stiener's height-to-width ratio, the shell thickness-to-radius ratio and the shell length-to-radius ratio is studied. The natural frequencies are compared with the previously published analytical results for the unstiened rotating composite shell and the orthogonally stiened isotropic cylindrical shells.
